Clinic Tour

Our clinic is located at 995 Hamilton Road, one block east of Highbury Avenue in London, Ontario.

Upon entering the reception area, you will be greeted by our friendly reception staff.  Marie, Shauna and Cindy are always willing to assist you or help answer any questions.  Browse through the pet food and supplies, or just watch the fish go by in the aquarium.

The treatment area is the hub of the clinic.  Minor procedures, nail trims, weight checks and dental procedures are all performed here.  Anesthetized animals are clipped and prepared for surgery in this room, before being transported into the surgical suite.  Animals recovering from anesthesia are closely monitored in this area until they are up and around.

The surgical suite is used for both routine (spays and neuters) and non-routine (exploratory surgery, fracture repair) surgical procedures.  Anesthetized animals are transported in from the adjacent treatment room after being clipped and scrubbed for surgery.  Our Registered Veterinary Technicians monitor anesthetized animals during surgical procedures with the aid of special equipment that measures blood pressure, pulse and blood oxygenation.

Our radiology room is equipped with an X-ray machine, which allows us to image various parts of the body.  X-rays are often very useful to detect fractures of  bones, but may also be used to note changes in organ size or shape, or give clues to internal diseases.  Our radiographs are developed in a special darkroom at the clinic, and thanks to our automatic processor, they can be viewed in just a few minutes.

The laboratory is equipped with a blood analyzer to provide blood profile results within minutes, if necessary, for our more critically ill patients.  Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are trained to microscopically analyze fecal samples for internal parasites.  They also use the microscope to analyze urine, or detect parasites, yeast or bacteria in skin and ear swabs.  We also commonly perform testing to detect diseases such as feline leukemia virus, giardia, and heartworm.
